Acceptable use
What you may not do with the hosted service. It applies to every account and every API token.
Draft. Text in brackets, such as [Company name], is a placeholder that will be filled in before hosted translation opens. Hosted translation is not open yet; the open-source QA gate needs no account and sends nothing anywhere.
Content
Do not use Shipglot to store, translate or publish content that:
- is unlawful, or infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy;
- sexually exploits children, promotes violence or terrorism, or harasses people;
- is malware, phishing or spam, or helps distribute them;
- breaks the usage policies of the AI model providers that translate it (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google).
The service and other users
- Do not probe, scan or test the service's security without our written permission. To report a vulnerability, email hello@shipglot.com.
- Do not access accounts, projects or data that are not yours, or try to get around roles, rate limits or the CSRF and signature checks.
- Do not overload the service, or use the API, webhooks or over-the-air delivery in a way that degrades them for others. Over-the-air bundles are for your application's translations, not a general file host.
Plans and limits
- Do not split one product across several accounts to stay in a lower band.
- Do not present a private or commercial project as open source to get the free open-source plan.
- Do not resell or share access to the hosted service or its API as a standalone translation service without our written agreement.
What we do
If an account breaks this policy, we may remove the content, limit or suspend access, or close the account. Where we can, we tell you first and give you time to fix it. Report abuse to hello@shipglot.com.
